This is a senior and important role, it requires a keen understanding of the 3D asset creation pipeline and an in depth knowledge of CG lighting, shading, rendering and compositing.
They help define the look development of early hero assets. They will also define the lighting pipeline, including inputs, outputs, scripts and tools.
To succeed at this job, you need:
Several years experience in the Lighting department.
You have a thorough understanding of techniques and technologies relating to CG rendering, and can produce the broadest latitude of data in the quickest render time.
You have an excellent artistic eye
You should have a passion for, cinematography, film, cameras, photography, and aesthetics.
You also need a good technical understanding of light and colour, and are comfortable with data management, coding and the VFX pipeline.
Great organizational skills and ability to manage a very busy team with, while meeting production timetables and budgets.
Can assess and implement the specific lighting pipeline requirements of a particular project and can build test and deploy tools in a high pressure production environment.
